This is body of poetry that addresses almost all aspects of life. This book dives deep into faith, womanhood, life, love, inner struggles and African plights. Roberta's view on the situations that human beings face and their triumphs over tribulations. Of all the work that she has written, this body of work best displays, growth and healing experienced over 35 years of life.

The book is aimed to speak to anyone that will read it, but it hopes to highlight struggles and challenges from a woman's perspective. The book is structured in the form of life topics so that the reader can easily maneuver to the desired content. It is a book of pain, love, desire and struggle, written by a mixed race, dark-skinned, English-speaking African, all words that create a contradictory culture and lifestyle.

Roberta has indeed been forged through fire and hopes to help others find confidence and freedom in expressing themselves gracefully, open to truth and authentically. She hopes that every reader sees themselves in each poem, allows their tears to fall upon the pages and feel the freedom to write their own stories. She wishes, these poems be the words the reader wasn't able to speak and the ear they believe never heard.
