A fresh and gritty fictional look into the urban lifestyle of Toledo, Ohio is set to be available for readers. One life to get right, is the brainchild of new author Corey Garmon. Garmon, a Toledo native, wants to raise awareness of the trappings of the inner city crime. I wanted to write this book, mainly because I wanted to be heard, he said. I felt like it’s a lot of urban novels that don’t always reveal a message or project any feeling from some of the main characters. I wanted to tell an urban tale from the perspective of someone who wasn’t a boss and just dealt with the conflicting emotions of dealing with the game - how your past choices can affect your present and your future. You only have one life to make life changing decisions.
