Each of us has a purpose; a destiny that is unique to us and no one else. We are all called to that purpose, and throughout our lives we are reminded that it is there, waiting for us to accept its challenge. Most would like to follow theirs but life gets in the way. We make excuses why we can’t do something that seems impossible, and if we fail along the way, fear is waiting for us the next time we try. This adventure is the result of one youth’s response to that challenge. Aiden is not unlike most of us - he has unique ideas regarding the world and passionate dreams of discovering the mysterious marvels that many question about and seldom find satisfying answers. In Book One of the Aiden Shepherd Series, Aiden is a young eighteen year old man, recently graduated from high school, and struggling to determine what path to take towards his future. A great void in his life has begun to take shape, he feels hollow and unfulfilled. As a young man with vast spiritual insight and a keen intellect he battles the beliefs that have served as his foundation since childhood. The world looks more broken each day, and there doesn’t appear to be any way of fixing it. But forces much greater than he have already put plans into motion.
