More than a century ago, a lovely young Georgia aristocrat named Jane Carroll Heard came to the Indian Territory. She was the bride of Fred Severs Clinton, a handsome blue-eyed blond who was part Creek Indian, from the village of Red Fork on the Arkansas River. Their union was not only a lifetime affair of the heart, but an alliance of remarkable talents and abilities which would play a major role in transforming the little frontier village of Tulsey Town, I.T., into a booming mid-American city known as The Oil Capital of the World.
