Cocoa’s Party Redo

Cocoa’s parents have agreed to throw her a birthday celebration but only if her friends can exhibit good social manners. Cocoa is ecstatic about her big birthday bash and promises her parents that it will be done with grace and ease. However, Cocoa’s party is turning into a disaster. Her friends lack the proper social graces and manners that should be exhibited at a birthday party. Boppie (Cocoa’s magic wand sidekick), saves the day with a party re-do, that teaches Cocoa’s friends the correct way to exhibit manners and etiquette at a social event. Cocoa’s Party Redo is designed to embrace multiculturalism, diversity, and instill a love for literacy while also embracing Social and Emotional Learning and Social Graces. Written in a repetitive and predictable text pattern, Cocoa, (the main character, ) and her sidekick Boppie, (voice of reason, ) will help children learn about self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, empathy, responsible decision-making, relationship skills, and social graces.
