In April of 2020, the Lord put on my heart to plant sunflowers and document every stage of their growth, but I had no idea why. Even though sunflowers are my favorite, I know nothing about flowers except the are pretty. When my husband was picking out fruit & vegetable seeds to order for the garden, I said I would like to get sunflower seeds. This was out of character for me as I don’t plant flowers. Almost every day I went out to the garden to take pictures and see what the Lord would show me. As the flowers grew my desire was to see a butterfly on the sunflower, and the Lord honored that and I was able to capture the moment. I was reminded of 2 Corinthians 5:17 and how the butterfly represented a new creature. I began to wonder if this was the end of the story and soon after getting the picture of the butterfly, a strong storm came and knocked over the sunflowers. Even though it was the end of the garden, it wasn’t the end of the story. I am Blessed to have witnessed God’s beautiful message through the sunflowers and I pray you will be Blessed as well!
