In a world at war, two vast empires clash. The victory of either rests in the hands of a young griffin spoken of in a prophecy. It foretells that this griffin would choose between these two warring empires, thus choosing the victor. Yet, the prophecy also warns that in doing so, this prophesized-one might have to make the ultimate sacrifice. He would be a member of the Fyzar, an ancient lineage that began in a land known as Arktorion, a land that would eventually become one of the two empires fighting in this war. The Fyzars dawned in a time before written word, in a time just after the great ice had retreated northward. The few members of this lineage possess supernatural powers, powers that were overtime developed, and eventually wielded with great ease and to great devastation. Arktorion had been fought over for millennia by kings and tyrants, lords and chieftains alike - until Raishany, the other empire that would eventually fight in this war, invaded. At the time though, Raishany had only taken Arktorion for living-space. Afterwards, it went on to seize more lands around the globe, each successive Raishan king wanting to control more territory than his predecessor. Two centuries after Raishany had conquered Arktorion, the sitting Raishan king died without an heir. His widowed Queen searched for a new husband in the ranks of the Fyzar. She soon found her new king and married him, and together they had a single son. When this Prince became of age, he inherited the Raishan throne and used it to wield his will over his subjects. This angered the Arktorians who soon rebelled. The Raishan King then agreed to meet the Arktorian Fyzars, including his own father, to end the uprising, thus setting his trap. The King murdered his brethren in an attempt to intimidate the Arktorians, yet this only enraged them more, and the Revolution grew. The young King could not contain the conflict as his army slowly collapsed. Eventually he lost Arktorion, and without an army, the remainder of his empire. With Raishany fallen, Arktorion soon rose to become the world’s superpower. Over the course of the proceeding centuries though, it would overextend itself just as Raishany regained her former strength. The two vast empires soon found themselves locked in a cold war just as the prophecy about the war’s decider began and caused a global pursuit - only Raishany may already have him.
