The backdrop of the stories you are about to read is predominately my hometown of Ozark, Arkansas, but, with the exception of a couple of embarrassingly countrified tales, could be anywhere. The stories reveal a great deal about me but even more about you. By you, I mean us…who we are…all of us. You will laugh. You might cry. You’ll probably shake your head in disgust and most likely have your gag reflex triggered at least twice. You’ll most certainly nod with familiarity. My hope is that you will be highly entertained and profoundly moved. If hope is the greatest of things, then what better nourishment could hope have than laughter? Most the stories in this collection could easily be sad or pathetic. However, God blessed me with a bizarre view of the world and the ability to see things from the perspective of others. Admittedly, my perspective of others is sometimes completely self-serving to simply enhance my own view of our tiny planet, but it makes my sky bluer and keeps me from burning buildings and stealing fruit.
