Hunting with the Eskimos

The author has detailed his life with the Northern Barren Eskimo during one year in which his prime objective was to hunt the big game of the vast region. In order to accomplish this, he had to gain the faith and confidence of the natives. He lived amongst them for that year, sharing their joys, privations, hunger, storms and hunting experiences. This is a very good book, written about hunting as it was experienced in the land of ice in the early 1900s.
