Fundamentals of Deformation and Fracture: Eshelby Memorial Symposium Sheffield 2-5 April 1984

The book comprises the papers presented at an International Symposium at Sheffield University in April 1984 held in memory of the late J. D. Eshelby FRS, Professor of the Theory, of Materials at the University of Sheffield. The papers, written by leading figures from the United States, Japan, Scandinavia, France, Germany and Australia, as well as the United Kingdom, reflect the range of Professor Eshelby’s interests.
