The I Ching: The Book of Changes

One of the most important books in the history of Oriental culture, the I Ching is among the few divination manuals to survive into modern times. The ancient text comprises a history of more than two and half millennia of commentary and interpretation, providing inspiration to countless spiritual seekers. The book’s profound influence also extends to the worlds of business, psychoanalysis, literature, and art. AUTHOR: Scottish missionary James Legge (1815 97) was a scholar of Sinology most noted for his English translations of ancient Chinese texts. Oxford University’s first Professor of Chinese, he wrote many books, including The Life and Teaching of Confucius, The Life and Teaching of Mencius, and The Religions of China.
