My Sailing Life

A YOUNG MAN BUILDS A YACHT AND SETS SAIL FROM NEW ZEALAND ACROSS THE NOTORIOUS TASMAN SEA. HIS YACHT SURVIVES HER TORRID MAIDEN VOYAGE AND HE IS RELIEVED TO FIND HIMSELF DIVING AMONG THE WONDERS OF THE GREAT BARRIER REEF, ENCOUNTERING SHARKS, MANTA RAYS, TURTLES, WHALES AND ORCA. This resourceful nomad continues north, fishing, hunting, foraging and enjoying the freedom of a self-sufficient sailing life. His adventures continue in the islands of Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand before he returns home to New Zealand. He gets married, builds another yacht and shares his love of sailing with his family and friends in Tahiti, Rarotonga, Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu, New Caledonia and Norfolk Island, and explores the many islands of New Zealand.
