A catalogue published to accompany Brent Harris' 2021 exhibition 'The Stations' at Robert Heald Gallery, Wellington. This exhibition celebrated a new body of work addressing the biblical Stations of the Cross, marking a return to the subject some three-decades later. Harris' first Stations series (1989) was critically acclaimed, and helped forge his career as a young artist. Throughout his career Brent has continually engaged with universal themes associated with the human condition, including sexuality, mortality, desire, and spirituality. His paintings, prints and drawings are widely held in the state collections, and among private collectors. A beautiful cloth-bound book, with essays from Stuart McKenzie, and Laurence Simmons, as well as an artist 'in conversation' with Jane Devery. This catalogue was printed in a limited edition of 500.
