Initially, the book was made for family gifts, but as de Wolf began to write explanations for each piece on what inspired the poem, how she came to choose a form, and the method behind creating the poem - Poetry in a Pear Tree metamorphosised into more than a light-hearted read. There are funny poems in here that will make you smile, but also a bit of an insight into the author’s life, and the light and shade of human existence.
