Many of the current competing lab manuals merely duplicate much of the text and illustrations found in their accompanying textbooks, making the lab manuals lengthy, and as a result more costly to students. The Laboratory Manual for Human Anatomy keeps descriptive text to a minimum, giving students more time to perform experiments, answer questions, and write-up lab reports.

Self-contained lab units. All pedagogical features are complete for each unit, including Lab Reports and Reviewing Your Knowledge.

A variety of questions and activities. Includes fill-in-the-blank, art labeling, coloring, identification exercises, and Critical Thinking Questions–thought-provoking, open-ended questions appearing at the end of each Lab Exercise that summarize concepts learned in that lab.

Illustration program. The manual offers beautiful, full-color figures and photos. Labels are removed from most figures for exercises/activities. Other figures are reformatted for coloring exercises.

Histology Atlas. Full-color photos of tissues types are an invaluable tool for students.

Surface Anatomy. This new exercise is devoted to the study of surface anatomy, and features activities that students will enjoy doing in the lab.
