Whale: The Story of Putu, Siku and K'nik

In October 1988 three Grey whales were trapped under the spreading ice-cap of an Arctic winter in Alaska. Whale recreates the thrilling suspense story of the international rescue operation which attracted worldwide attention and brought together American, Russian and Inuit people. Specially written for 7-12 year olds and family audiences, Whale premiered at the Royal National Theatre in December, 1989.
