An Anthology of Chinese Literature: Beginnings to 1911

This is an anthology presenting a variety of Chinese literary forms from 170BC to the end of the Ch'ing dynasty in 1911. This collection includes over 600 items, all but three translated by the editor, demonstrating a broad emotional range, and sensitively depicting the shifting moods of melancholy, abandon and intrigue in the originals.
