She travels the land carrying out the king's directives but men bristle with anger at having to take orders from a woman. Reluctantly the king reduces Shilight's standing with the court.

Feeling snubbed in her own kingdom, Shilight travels to the Land of the Giants where her weapon skills catches the attention of a local prince. He pursues her romantically even though he is soon to wed another. His betrothed is furious and plots revenge against Shilight.

When she learns her home is under attack by the Giants, Shilight attempts to save her home city by rallying the help from two distant kingdoms.
