Prayer Group Therapy

Four would-be prayers meet for group therapy. In this case, each member has some sort of common prayer dysfunction. Doug is into holy language and his prayers are full of outbursts and alleluias that disrupt the others. Margaret uses prayer as a vehicle for gossip. Amy is timid and uses only memorized or formula prayers. Jay doesn’t really pray at all because he has concluded God knows everything so he certainly doesn’t need any prayers to inform Him of a request. Karen, the facilitator, tries to get everyone to participate in a simple time of prayer, but as each person’s warped perspective on prayer kicks in, the results are disastrous - in an outlandishly comical way!
