As James Jones waited for his heart operation and began to recover from it, he had the Psalms with him day and night, and these are reflections based on each occasion the word ‘heart’ is used in the Psalms (70 times). These reflections invite the reader to make a new relationship with the psalms, and with the familiar translation of them in the Book of Common Prayer.
