Madness are a ska band from Camden Town, north London, England, UK, formed during 1976. One of the leading groups of the late 1970s - early 1980s Two-tone ska revival, they continue to perform with 6 out of the 7 members of their classic line-up. Madness had most of their hits in the early to mid-1980s, both they and UB40 having spent a record 214 weeks on the UK singles charts over the course of the decade, although Madness did so over a shorter time period (1980-1986).
