This book identifies and describes the performances of Scottish track and field athletes who competed in the Olympic Games between 1896 and 1980. This includes Scots, men and women, or Scots, or descendents of Scots, who had emigrated from Scotland, and who took part in Olympic track and field athletics, albeit representing nations other than Great Britain. In addition, there are Appendices covering representation of Scottish-qualified participants and various aspects of performances for the whole period of the Games up to and including the Games in Tokyo in 2021. This is a ground-breaking book, dealing with Scottish national participation in Olympic track and field events from their inception for the first time.
