Esiste un racconto negli studi sulla Redenzione, breve ma efficace, che descrive in una sintesi mirabile i duemila anni del confronto/scontro/dialogo fra cristianesimo ed ebraismo: "C'e un uomo che vede e due ciechi. Un cieco crede che quell'uomo e un mostro e l'altro cieco crede che quell'uomo e un dio. Quell'uomo che vede in realta non esiste per loro. Cio che esiste per loro e una creazione della loro immaginazione. Immaginiamo ora che quei ciechi per miracolo aprissero gli occhi e potessero vedere. Il primo cieco vedra che non e un mostro ed il secondo cieco vedra che non e un dio. Ed ora che vedono possono parlare con lui nella giusta misura riservata alle persone. Il vero dialogo incomincia adesso, non prima." E di questa nuova luce per entrambi che si parla in questo testo.
