It is 1964. Katie is eighteen and has trained to be an air hostess. She has just completed her first long haul flight to Kenya. Because of scheduling difficulties, the whole crew have been granted a seven night stopover and they decide to go on a minibus safari around the game parks. Katie strongly resists the totally inappropriate advances of the senior captain and so he blocks her inclusion on the safari. Left on her own, she meets Ian, a vet who is twelve years older than her. He appears to be kind and offers to take her on a really exciting safari to Northern Kenya. Their relationship develops and leads to some exciting escapades which would certainly have broken a weaker girl, both physically and mentally. Then Ian gets arrested on a trip to Iran. Katie requires all her fortitude to attempt a rescue.
