Following on from his book about the 1970s, Chris Wade takes a look at one of Dylan's most underrated and sidelined eras, the 1980s. Starting with the Gospel albums, going through his film project Hearts of Fire, the ill fated studio albums and the masterpiece Oh Mercy, Wade also interviews collaborators from this era, like Ira Ingber who goes into great detail about Empire Burlesque and Knocked Out Loaded, plus other musicians and production staff.
