The economy still in turmoil of the financial crisis and recession has left many companies struggling while the capitalistic system itself is being questioned (Porter and Kramer, 2011; Rappaport, 2011). Several ways to amend the system and ways to rekindle the economy are being suggested and explored and Creating Shared Value (CSV) could be one of these measures to improve the situation. Thus the research investigates the feasibility of small and medium businesses (SMEs) engaging in CSV.
