In Walking the Pipeline, Jen and Herb return for another joyful summer adventure, this time set against the lush, fragrant backdrop of the Blue Mountains and Roaring River. From picking ripe fruit and watching horses gallop to fishing in the river and walking the long, water-filled pipeline, the story brims with vivid, nature-based play.

Encouraged by stories of a magical castle filled with laughing children, Jen and Herb set out on a daring journey along the slippery, echoing pipeline. Along the way, they engage in imaginative chanting games, catch janga fish, and feast on juicy mangoes under a shady tree.

But their playful journey takes a dramatic turn when a bull appears, chasing Herb through the bush and toward a beehive. With tension rising, a brave local farmer, Farmer John, swoops in just in time to save them. Herb's bee sting is treated with love and care, and the children make it safely home.

As the story ends, the magical mystery of the castle is resolved when their father gently reveals, "You are the children in the castle, having fun."
