My grandchildren, Astrid and Ethan, often asked me to tell them a story. Astrid and Ethan shared their ideas as to what each story should be about. Ethan is continually intrigued by dinosaurs. His search for more dinosaur knowledge sparked an interest for his sister Astrid as well. Together they created action stories using Ethan’s model dinosaurs. As Ethans’ collection of model dinosaurs began to increase the stories started to form. As the children’s interest grew I knew this was an opportunity for the three of us to create a variety of stories. Eventually we imagined ourselves being transported into the world of dinosaurs. Their recent visit to the Tyrell Museum in Drumheller, Alberta firmly entrenched their continued thirst to learn more. Ethan’s dream is to become a paleontologist.
