This volume offers teachers a resource of photocopiable exercises which are suitable for use with students at Key Stage 3 of the National Curriculum. The questions allow opportunities to assess performance between levels 3 and 8 in all strands of National Curriculum science. Additional material derived from the programmes of study is also included. Each exercise contains a variety of different types of question, such as recall, understanding and process skills - with varying degrees of structure allowing opportunities for shorter and longer answers. Within questions are opportunities to display other skills such as data handling and data presentation. Each exercise is structured to give a progression of difficulty from start to finish. The exercises are designed for both classroom use and for homework, and could form the basis of a series of end-of-topic tests used to link assessment to National Curriculum performance.
