Helping the Kakapo

In Aotearoa, there is a big, green parrot called the kakapo. The kakapo has wings but cannot fly. Instead, it uses its strong legs to climb trees and to jump! The kakapo were in danger from other animals, so people decided to take them to the moutere away from danger. Today, this very special manu lives on three moutere where people can visit and help to look after them.
