The Octonauts and the Sea of Shade

The Octonauts live a peaceful life in their underwater base, the Octopod. Captain Barnacles Bear enjoys writing in his logbook, Dashi Dog likes playing basketball, and Peso Penguin practices the piano. But when Tweak Bunny arrives in the Octopod looking rather flustered, the Octonauts know something is up. Apparently all the shade in the ocean has gone missing, and it’s up to the eight intrepid Octonauts to get it back. They must journey to the Sea of Shade and ask the Shade King exactly what has happened to the shadows, and what they must do to get them back.

The Octonauts and the Sea of Shade is the third Octonauts adventure from author/illustrator team Meomi, consisting of Vicki Wong and Michael C. Murphy. The bright, Japanese anime-inspired illustrations will grab the attention of kids and big kids (i.e. adults) alike, and the escapades of these eight adorable adventurers will delight younger readers who enjoy a slightly longer story.
