Garzone George

New York tenor saxophone jazz giant George Garzone is at the forefront of improvised music. Arriving for a mentorship and residency at Monash University in 2011, Garzone rehearsed his original music with several jazz ensembles as well as big band arrangements by Garzone's long time Berklee College of Music faculty colleague and Buddy Rich alumni Greg Hopkins. This recording session illustrates Garzone is a true ambassador of the spirit of jazz music in taking the tradition of the genre and telling new and exciting stories.
