Eternal Music Projects presents Last Recordings – the final body of work from Australian underground legend Ollie Olsen, created with lifelong friends Andrew Duffield (Whirlywirld, Models) and Bill McDonald (Max Q, Paul Kelly, Drive Time).

Recorded across scattered Fridays between June 2021 and October 2022, these sessions capture the essence of Olsen’s lifelong exploration of sound as a radical, searching practice. Deep FM tones, tangled frequencies, drones, and feedback form the raw materials of this final release. It is music that feels both fragile and unrelenting, a beautiful paradox of stillness and noise and a perfect analogy of Ollie's often contradictory ways.

What emerged from these final sessions is a work of intimacy and urgency – improvised, unadorned, and vitally alive. Last Recordings stands as the closing chapter of one of Australia’s most influential underground voices: innovator, agitator, and punk radical pioneer. That it was made with Duffield and McDonald, both vital figures in the Australian music canon, only deepens its significance.

Last Recordings is both a farewell and a celebration – the sound of a lifelong friendship rendered in its purest form, free of song, rooted in sound.
