Love Is Strange

Browne Jackson & David Lindley

Prior to 2010’s Jackson Browne with David Lindley Tour, the last time the two musicians played live dates together was a 2006 run of concerts in Spain-in grand concert halls, rock venues, and intimate clubs alike. That tour resulted in the forthcoming 2-CD album Love Is Strange, “En Vivo Con Tino”- featuring Browne and Lindley live with celebrated Spanish percussionist Tino di Geraldo. Love Is Strange was produced by Jackson Browne and Paul Dieter

Review

Recorded live during their Spanish tour of 2006, this is a beautiful document of two careers interwoven over 30 years. They’re accompanied by the great flamenco percussionist and producer Tino di Geraldo, as well as other well-known Spanish musicians.

While some fans of Jackson Browne might complain about another live album (his third in five years), they have all been wonderful at shining a light on his brilliant catalogue of songs. His voice is still sounding great, and the simplicity of the arrangements and tremendous sound make this a very welcome release.
