Schumann: Kinderszenen Op 15 / Kreisleriana Op 16 (Vinyl)

Martha Argerich's wonderful solo 1984 recording of Schumann's Kinderszenen and Kreisleriana. To preserve the greatest possible audio quality, the Schumann release sees a new split, presenting Kreisleriana, Parts 1-6 on Side 1 and Parts 7-8 on Side 2, followed by the complete Kinderszenen.

"Kinderszenen" (Scenes from Childhood), Op. 15, and "Kreisleriana," Op. 16, are two prominent piano works by Robert Schumann. "Kinderszenen" is a set of 13 short, evocative pieces reflecting on childhood, while "Kreisleriana" is a more passionate and turbulent eight-movement work inspired by the fictional character Johannes Kreisler.
