The Readings Foundation grants are open for 2018

Applications for the Readings Foundation grants for the 2018 calendar year are now open. Organisations who work with disadvantaged groups in the Victorian community (especially in the areas of literacy, creativity and the arts) can apply for funding amounts from $1,000 to $20,000.

This past year we’ve been delighted to 11 diverse organisations. This includes Banksia Gardens Community Service’s innovative Aiming High VCE program in the Broadmeadows area, and River Nile Learning Centre’s amazing English program for newly-arrived refugee and asylum seeker women.

In total, the Readings Foundation has awarded almost one million dollars in grants since its founding in 2009 and supported around 45 different organisations. If you shop at Readings then you are already making an important contribution to our efforts, as we donate 10% of our annual profits to the Foundation. And if you’ve ever given us a gold coin donation in exchange for gift wrapping, then you’ve helped out even more!

Applications for the 2018 Readings Foundation grants must be completed and lodged electronically by 5pm, Monday 23 October 2017. To view a PDF of the application form, and find more information about the application process, please see here.
