Writers bewitched by their local pool gather at the iconic 'aqua profonda' Fitzroy Pool. Soak in an evening of poetic musings related to the ritual of lap-swimming, and the vital role that public pools play in the writer’s imagination.

EWF takes this philosophy, and lets you indulge in a cozy evening of creative readings from new writers, paired with food offerings inspired by the bodies of water that have blessed them. Small salty oceans of broth, steam rising as if a shoreline at dawn, what does the distance of water ask us to remember?
