Our top seller for last week is Anne Tyler’s A Spool of Blue Thread, a sprawling family saga that our managing director Mark Rubbo called “utterly engrossing, enjoyable and, at times, illuminating”. This is the twentieth (and she’s hinted, possibly last) novel from the 73-year-old Pulitzer Prize-winning author and several of our staff are currently ‘roadtesting’ it for book clubs. Intrigued? Another Pulitzer Prize-winning author on our list is Elizabeth Strout with her 2008 release, Olive Kitteridge, which has recently been turned into a four-hour mini-series of the same name. Our digital marketing manager Nina Kenwood gave the book “a rare A+ rating”.
