This week in Australian fiction sees a short-story collection from Christos Tsiolkas (Merciless Gods); a romantic comedy from Graeme Simsion (The Rosie Effect); a novel from Peter Carey (Amnesia); and two recent award winners – Richard Flanagan for the Man Booker Prize (The Narrow Road to the Deep North) and Ceridwen Dovey for the Readings New Australian Writing Award (Only the Animals).
