Some hotly anticipated new books arrived at Readings last week including two novels from Australian author Markus Zusak and Japanese author Haruki Murakami, and a work of non-fiction from Chloe Hooper. Zusak’s Bridge of Clay is a sweeping family saga about five brothers who are left to raise themselves after their father disappears. Murakami’s Killing Commendatore follows a man who’s forced to go on a mysterious journey after discovering a cursed painting. And Hooper’s The Arsonist is a gripping investigation into Australia’s deadliest bushfire disaster – Black Saturday.
