Our top 10 bestselling books of last week include some terrific picks for book clubs. A Gentleman in Moscow is a charming tale about a Russian count living under glamorous house arrest (and was one of Barack Obama’s favourite books of 2017!). Home Fire is a masterful reimagining of Sophocles’ Antigone. Call Me By Your Name is the story of a passionate romance during a restless summer on the Italian Riviera.
Call Me By Your Name is actually the first book that our own Queer Book Club will be reading and discussing in 2018. The book club meets monthly at Readings St Kilda to talk about fiction and selected non-fiction books from the queer canon. There are still a few spots left and to find out how you can join, please contact Amy Vuleta on 03 9525 3852 or by email.
Two brilliant crime thrillers also proved popular with readers last week: The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn and Force of Nature by Jane Harper.
