This week’s bestsellers list is dominated by Australian fiction and cookbooks, which seems like a particularly good combination. Lovers of local fiction are spoilt for choice, with new novels from Harper, Dalton, Flanagan and Silvey.

A special mention to two newer cookbooks that we have been loving, Shannon Martinez’s affordable, thoughtful and easy Vegan With Bite and Hetty McKinnon’s To Asia, with Love, which contains traditional and modern takes on classics.

We’re also pleased that Jacinta Parson’s candid and engaging memoir of living with an unseen and chronic illness has been finding readers, as has Sir David Attenborough’s legacy-defining book, A Life on Our Planet.
