There were lots of familiar books in our bestsellers this week, with Dark Emu, Where the Crawdads Sing, Damascus, Such a Fun Age and other proven stayers continuing to sell strongly.

Two notable new entries were Isabel Allende’s A Long Petal of the Sea, an epic story of seeking refuge after the Spanish Civil War, and A Very Stable Genius, a rigorous look at Trump’s presidency by two Pulitzer-Prize-winning investigative journalists.
