Last week we announced the 2017 shortlist for the Readings Children’s Book Prize! You can find out about the Prize and this year’s shortlist here.

We’re so pleased to see two of the shortlisted titles listed here are bestsellers – Grover Finds a Home (for ages 5 and up) and Escape to the Moon Islands (for ages 9 and up) – as well as copies of our specially priced bundle containing the full shortlist of six books ($79.95, ).

March also sees the arrival of some brand-new picture books from much-loved Australian children’s book authors: Mem Fox (I’m Australian Too, illustrations by Ronojoy Ghosh), Aaron Blabey (Busting!), Anna Walker (Florette), and Davina Bell (Under the Love Umbrella, illustrations by Allison Colpoys).

And at the top of our bestsellers list is Australian comedian Peter Helliar’s hilarious tale for ages 6 and up. Our reviewer compares Frankie Fish and the Sonic Suitcase to ‘a fun mini-episode of Doctor Who if the grumpy old man in Doctor Who was the companion instead of the Time Lord and the young kid unwillingly dragged along in the adventure was the smart one!’
