Two fantastic non-fiction releases made it on to last week’s list of bestselling children’s and young adult books. Kaz Cook’s Girl Stuff for Girls Aged 8-12 is a friendly, informative resource for tweens (as well as those with tweens in their lives!), while Saroo Brierley’s moving memoir about his search for his birth family is now available in a young reader’s edition.

New and recent instalments of much-loved middle fiction series also proved popular last week.

Unleashed is the second book of Dav Pilkey’s The Adventures of Dog Man series. Double Down is the eleventh book of Jeff Kinney’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Danger Ahead is the sixth book of R.A. Spratt’s Friday Barnes series. And Wormwood Mire is the second of Judith Rossell’s Stella Montgomery Intrigues.
