At the top of the charts this week is the debut kids novel by Trent Roberts, which was launched at our St Kilda shop last week. Our reviewer, Julia, says of this middle grade novel, ‘if you loved the Lemony Snicket books, where the Baudelaire kids continually fight to overcome dastardly Count Olaf, then this is for you!’. You can read the full review here.
As we celebrated National Reconciliation Week, it is fantastic to see the second picture book by ex-footballer Adam Goodes, Ceremony, as well as the debut fantasy adventure by Jordan Gould & Richard Pritchard, about a Koorie heroine who has to save her people in ancient times, in the charts.
We also had a number of June new releases make their first appearance on the list, including the new middle grade book by current Children’s Laureate, Gabrielle Wang, and the final book in the exciting Prison Healer series by YA author, Lynette Noni.
