Two new releases rocketed into the top spots in our kids & YA bestsellers this week. Even though Father’s Day is still a little way off, our customers are already celebrating family with Bluey: My Dad is Awesome, penned by none other than Bluey and Bingo, of course. And Lili Wilkinson’s YA thriller, The Erasure Initiative, flew off the shelves, showing we’re still up for tense action and tough ethical questions in Stage 4 lockdown.

Big overseas authors such as David Walliams and Jeff Kinney still got a look in, but it was really home-grown authors and illustrators that we turned to this week. Strong sales for picture books written by Aunty Fay Muir & Sue Lawson, Aunty Joy Murphy and Adam Briggs, middle grade fiction from Matilda Woods and Danielle Binks and YA from Lisa Fuller showed that we’re loving local books at this time.
