The winners’ announcements for the Readings Children’s Book Prize and the Readings Young Adult Book Prize made a pleasing impact on our bestsellers list this week, with prize-winners The Girl, the Cat & the Navigator by Matilda Woods (also part of the lovely Matilda Woods two-book pack) and Ghost Bird by Lisa Fuller making up the top three.

It’s also wonderful to see some recently published Australian YA in our top ten. Zana Fraillon’s rich fantasy story set in the Afterlife, The Lost Soul Atlas sold brilliantly in its first week of publication, and readers also turned to Cath Moore’s sensitive and funny debut Metal Fish, Falling Snow, and Davina’s Bell’s wild and strange dystopia, The End of the World Is Bigger than Love.
