We’ve got a lovely list of kids and YA bestsellers this week, with something for every age and taste. The number one seller is David Walliams’ latest book, The World’s Worst Parents - perhaps the book of choice for kids as we enter another period of home schooling.

Australian books are very well represented, with books by Anh Do, Jane Godwin, Thomas Mayor and Blak Douglas, and the team of Aunty Fay Muir, Sue Lawson & Lisa Kennedy in the top 10. Real Pigeons Fight Crime (Real Pigeons, Book 1) by Andrew McDonald & Ben Wood has flown back into our bestsellers, on the feathery back of the wonderful news that the Real Pigeons series is being adapted into a movie and a TV series.

The COVID-19 crisis has meant some delays and postponements with new releases. The Unadoptables was originally slated for May, so it’s nice to see that it’s finding some eager young readers of mystery and adventure with it’s new publication date.

And finally, a new mini gift edition of the Dr Seuss classic Oh, The Places You’ll Go! Mini Edition has sold well this week, perhaps a sign that we’re all enjoying a bit of armchair fantasy travelling.
