Julia Donaldson’s recent visit to Melbourne for The Gruffalo and Friends stage show has inspired everyone to get a copy of her wonderful new picture book The Smeds and the Smoos, a story of two very cute alien communities overcoming their differences. Donaldson was joined on stage by fellow author Neil Gaiman, and his perennial favourites The Graveyard Book and Coraline have also made our bestsellers.

A special mention this week - among the long-running bestellers like Young Dark Emu: A Truer History and Bluey: The Beach - goes out to Kobi Yamada’s gorgeous picture book, Maybe, about dreams and potential, the perfect gift for any youngster (or adult needing a pep-up).
